I was born with bad hair. My hair is naturally frizzy, a little bit curly, and extremely dry and fragile. So after many years as a blonde I have decided to take the plunge and dye my tresses dark brown and cut it very short. I have new healthy hair so bye bye blonde hair!
For years I spent a small fortune going to the hairdresser to have blonde hair and I spent lots of money on fancy shampoos and conditioners. However I kept having constant hair breakage and my hair felt very dry like straw. Below are some of the blonde styles I have sported over the past few years.
I finally got so fed up with the situation and with wasting my money I have dyed my hair dark and cut it very short. The extra colour pigment makes it feel less dry and it look shiny and more healthy. And now that I have cut it short I am taking extremely good care of my hair, using only good quality products on it, so it can grow long and healthy and look great. And it will cost me not a single penny!
The treatment I use twice a week is called Extreme Strength Builder Plus by Redken and I am already seeing amazing results. My hair has become stronger and I don’t have lots of hair falling out when I brush it in the morning.
However my plan would not be complete without making one true investment into the future of my hair. As I straighten it almost daily, I needed to swap my old hairdryer for the latest technology. So I have bought the new Dyson Supersonic hairdryer, worth approximately £300. It has automatic heat control for all types of hair, which ensures strands will never be burnt due to overheating and its smart sensors reduce the temperature when it gets too hot. It is extremely effective as well. It takes literally minutes to dry and straighten my hair compared to almost 1 hour with an ordinary hairdyer! That is because the Supersonic motor is revolutionary and has the ability to create pressure as well as flow. Plus it is so small and light.
Many people think I am crazy for spending so much money on a hairdryer. However as someone who has been blow drying their hair everyday for more than 10 years I can honestly say it is the best purchase I have ever made. It saves me time in the morning and will save me lots of future money spent at the hairdresser. If you are not convinced yet, watch the demo clip below.
I am still getting used to my new style however when it grows a little longer, stronger and healthier, I’m sure it will be fantastic.
